• The Lodge (men) #1057 was established in 1965, starting with 100 lodge members.
• The Chapter (women) #1617 was established in 1970, starting with 50 co-workers.
• Our site was purchased in 1974 and was an old tavern – the building was an old roadhouse built during prohibition! Lots of tales have been told!
• We have 4.5 acres of wonderful land
• Our old building had to be torn down in 2000 (time to kick the mice out)
• The next 5+ years were spent at the Muskego library – holding lodge & chapter meetings, holding the kids’ Christmas parties, planning & dreaming of a new Moose home (fondly referred to as the ‘Library Years’)
• Our new Moose home was built in 2005 – our ‘miracle’ building!
• Our new Banquet room, dedicated as Shafer Hall in honor of Charter members Renee & Gordy Shafer, was completed in May 2008
• We have 13 horseshoe pits & many sports teams
• May 2009 West Allis Moose merged with Muskego Moose
• Since 2000 our lodge has grown from 300 members to over 1,000 members!
