The Lodge (men) #1057 was established in 1965, starting with 100 lodge members.
The Chapter (women) #1617 was established in 1970, starting with 50 co-workers.
Our site was purchased in 1974 and was an old tavern – the building was an old roadhouse built during prohibition! Lots of tales have been told!
We have 4.5 acres of wonderful land
Our old building had to be torn down in 2000 (time to kick the mice out)
The next 5+ years were spent at the Muskego library – holding lodge & chapter meetings, holding the kids’ Christmas parties, planning & dreaming of a new Moose home (fondly referred to as the ‘Library Years’)
Our new Moose home was built in 2005 – our ‘miracle’ building!
Our new Banquet room, dedicated as Shafer Hall in honor of Charter members Renee & Gordy Shafer, was completed in May 2008
We have 13 horseshoe pits & many sports teams
May 2009 West Allis Moose merged with Muskego Moose
Since 2000 our lodge has grown from 300 members to over 1,000 members!
